According to the FAO every year 100 bio. of sharks are slaughtered!
A great danger for the eco-system Ocean, because sharks are a decisive factor: In the Northwestern Atlantic Ocean the total annual catch of porbeagle-shark shrinked by  66% between 1987 and 2002!

The HAILIFE-alliance aims at stopping this negative trend in the last moment! We succeeded in nearly clearing the German Market from shark-meat.

The alliance represents the 1st institutionalized co-operation between all relevant environmental, Zoo- and animal-welfare-NGOs, based in Germany. NGO-members serve as HAILIFE-guards and inform us about appearing shark-meat. Our campaign-management than starts action by principled negotiation.

This instrument makes some billons of people support the campaign. 

By the way: Did you know that every year 10 times more people get killed by downfalling coconuts than by sharkbites? Indeed about 100...
